See the beautiful mountains, lakes and glaciers that give the park its unique distinction of "Crown of the Continent". Most companies give and hour or 1/2 hour tour.

At the end of the day come back and enjoy the arts, as abundant as the trees and mountains, in the charming town of Whitefish. Or just relax by the lake side at Baypoint.


Bike the Going to the Sun Highway

For the fit cyclist, challenging the Going to the Sun Highway over Logan Pass offers 12 miles of grades up to 6 percent on the west side and 8 miles of similar grades on the east side. Every mile is filled with views unsurpassed anywhere in the lower 48 states.

But Going to the Sun Highway is not the only part of Glacier for the cyclist. Be sure to plan on shorter rides like Camas Creek Road or Many Glacier road. Longer rides could include Glacier Park to Waterton Lake National Park or St. Mary to East Glacier.

Keep your camera ready and be prepared to shoot wildlife like this Coyote hunting for food along the roadside on "Two Dog Flats". You can see mountain goats and bighorn sheep near Logan Pass or Black or Grizzly Bear just about anywhere, or you may see a Moose, Elk or Deer.
