Wonderful Wildlife, Stunning Scenery, Abundant Recreation, and the Arts
make the Flathead Valley a destination worthy of an extended visit.
During the winter months recreate at Big Mountain Resort on the 3,000+ acres
for terrain, snowmobile on 200+ miles of groomed trails, cross-country ski
at 1 of 8 recreation areas, or snowshoe in Glacier National Park.
Golfers are challenged from early April until late October on every one
of the 8 championship courses in the valley. Nothing beats the summer in
Montana with long days and cool nights to boat on the lake, mountain bike,
whitewater raft, fish, and hike.
Glacier National Park is the crown jewel of the area and is only 25 miles
from Whitefish. Visit any time of year to enjoy the numerous galleries, theater
and museums in the area.
Temperatures in Northwestern Montana will surprise you! We enjoy a mild
year round climate with dry air to make visiting comfortable any time of
year. The summer season is particularly wonderful with long warm days (the
sun sets around 10pm) and cool evenings.
